Who I am

From an early age, I knew I wanted to work in a vocational and caring field, so in 1989 I followed
my Mum’s footsteps and commenced training to become a Registered Nurse. After qualifying in
1993 I went on to work in various clinical settings in both Belfast and London Hospitals and traveled extensively with my work- from a Romanian Orphanage to Cruise ships to Aviation Medicine and then found myself back in Ireland in 2003.

As I was bringing up a young family I spent my last few years working as a Practice Nurse locally and became most interested in complementary therapies working alongside traditional medicine.

I always had a ‘hands-on’ approach and was intrigued and inspired by how clever the body can be at healing and repairing itself given a helping hand (or two!) – trying many complementary therapies Reflexology stood out for me for many reasons so after some research, I went on to undertake formal training working towards a Diploma – I knew that as soon as I started that I had found a real passion and joy in helping others and didn’t look back.

Since then I have taken further training in ‘Cancer and Palliative Care Reflexology’, ‘Reflexology
for Bereavement and Loss’ and ‘Facial’ Reflexology (Ziggie Bergman Method) I enjoy seeing the difference Reflexology can make to help others. I am continuously amazed to see my clients experience both the physical and emotional benefits. I also continue to keep my nurse hat on by working some evenings in a Mobile Health Unit for Homeless Services. I am happily married and gifted with two beautiful children and I also live with a very adored Miniature Schnauzer Billie
